Jailer Eric Vaughn
"We believe that we should do more than just house people. We have a duty to return our residents as citizens, prepared to contribute to their families and communities. We work diligently to create taxpayers from tax burdens."
Jailer Vaughn is currently serving his third term as Simpson County Jailer. During his administration, he has elevated Simpson County to have one of the leading detention centers in the Commonwealth.
His vision includes increasing training for deputies, improving care for the physical plant, providing additional security measures and increasing opportunities for rehabilitation of offenders.
Eric is an active participant with the Kentucky Jailers Association, currently serving on the Board of Directors and is also a Past President of the KJA. In addition to his duties locally, he is a frequent adviser to the legislature as they move forward with justice reform for the Commonwealth.
